Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA)

This XML-based architecture has been even more efficient since the introduction of FrameMaker 7.2 (Sept 2006).

DITA is more than just a schematic/DTD. DITA convinces with the way it creates and manages contents. The modularity and reusability of contents as well as the possibility to create different output formats are distinguished features of working with DITA.

WebWorks ePublisher supports this process with its XML/XSLT-technology and the integration of all components for the output process in HTMLHelp, JavaHelp and PDF.

Adobe has already started to work with DITA long time ago.
Example: The OnlineHelp for Creative-Suite 2 has been created with FrameMaker based on DITA.
